- My daughter has an Epson Apex (XT clone) which came with 2 - 360K 5-1/4"
- floppies. I've added a hard card to the machine, and it has served her
- well enough through college. I'd like to convert the "B" floppy to a
- 720K, 3-1/2" drive, using the DOS5 drivparm command in config.sys.
- Has anyone tried this in this machine or a similar one. I believe the BIOS
- is the same as in the Epson Equity I. The Apex has a passive mother board,
- and all the slots (4) are used: CPU/printer/floppy, hard card, EGA video,
- clock/calendar/serial. So adding a new floppy card is not a solution; besides,
- there is no obvious way to disable the on-board controller.

- Any experiences and/or constructive thoughts would be appreciated via email.
