- I have this bizarre piece of medical lab equipment that hooks up to an
- Epson LX-810. It used to work fine with the DB-25 to Centronics 36 FLAT
- RIBBON CABLE that came with the lab equipment.
-
- One day, some bozo lost the flat ribbon cable. I substituted the lost
- cable with a plain-vanilla PC Printer cable (I tried 4 of them) but as soon
- as I plug it into the printer, the ONLINE light goes off and the printer
- refuses to go online when the button is pressed. Hummm...
-
- Is there a pin that I can cut that will force the printer to stay online?
-
- (The medical folks probably charge 100bucks for the said Ribbon cable...)
-
- Replies by email please.
