- My experience says I second this. An XT controller will boot, but the AT
- POST will report the disk controller is not working if you enable any
- drive type. I ran a 286 this way for quite a while until I had the money
- for a 16 bit RLL card.

- A few controllers may not work because of the faster bus speed, but they
- would have to be pretty poorly designed not to handle 8 MHz.
