  27. Yep, you're right.  I was quoting specs by memory and missed the
  28. 800x600x16.7mill.

  32. Pro   = Approx 25 Mpixels/sec Winmark, 16.7 million colours @ 640x480,
  33.         and 800x600. 65000 colours at 1024x768, 256 colours @ 1280x1024.
  34.         ALL NI! (with a 1280x1024 refresh of 70+ Hz !)

  36. BTW.  I phoned Philips Tech support about their new monitors.  They
  37. have a 17" (16" viewable) flat-screen, .26 dp, 1280x1024 up to 100Hz!
  38. Yes, 100Hz!  They call the high-refresh technology FastRefresh.
  39. The monitor also has all digital controls, memories, manual degausss,
  40. an LCD (like Mag I think), and looks very attractive (I personally
  41. don't find the NEC fg series very nice-looking, although I don't
  42. doubt their quality).  The tech rep said the target competitor was
  43. indeed the NEC fg series (Philips has a 14" to 21" complete line).
