- I just had the same problem installing a western digital controller in a 286
- motherboard. After countless hours of messing with unmarked jumpers on the
- mother board, I found the problem lies in the multi i/o card. For some stupid
- reason, the HDD controller jumpers must be set to enabled. I don't know why
- since there is no IDE drives connected, but this is the way it is.
