- I would split that drive into two or three partitions, as follows:

- 1) Application software for which I kept original floppies.

- 2) Application data files and/or config files (if possible).

- 3) [Optional] Non-serious stuff; tests, etc.

- This way, you only have one drive to back up regularly. You can always
- reinstall anything on the applications directory from original floppies.

- As long as you kept the disk defragmented, there would be little performance
- difference, probably none that you would _notice_.
