  34. It seems to me you have brain-dead software.  The modem knows nothing
  35. about this string with regards to input.  It does _output_ it when it
  36. detects a lost carrier and is in verbose mode.  Your software should
  37. only be looking for this string when it's in the process of dialing.
  38. Otherwise the modem itself should disconnect only when it truly
  39. recognizes a dropped carrier.
