- | LOCAL BUS is the bus that your processor accesses memory on. It runs at the
- | same speed as the processor. This is much faster than EISA. Most people
- | who buy EISA, buy one because they want faster hard disk access,
- | faster video, and faster Ethernet access. I would exepect to see in the
- | upcoming months boards designed to accomodate LOCAL BUS SCSI, IDE, ETHERNET;
- | Not necessarily from ZEOS.

- I have pretty much decided on getting a 66DX2 vesa-local-bus system,
- but before I do, I'd like to hear some arguments against it. What
- are some of the drawbacks of a local bus? Wouldn't a 32-bit video card,
- a SCSI controller and an Ethernet card all the same bus cause some
- problems? What are the drawbacks of the VESA-standard VL-bus versus
- the upcoming Intel PCI local-bus?
