- I've had a 286 sitting around for quite some time. It has had a TEAC 5.25"
- and a TEAC 3.5" floppy drive sitting in it, but only the 5.25" was connected.
- (As drive A:, naturally). Well, I have a need for the 5.25" in another
- machine, so I'd like to set the 3.5" drive as drive A:. It is model number
- FD-235HF. On the connector is a jumpper labeled OP. On the drive is a
- block of jumppers, some vertical, some horizontal, arranged in a grid
- marked as 4 3 2 1
- A X
- B Y X X
- C Y X
- D
- E X X
- F
- G X X
-
- When I boot the machine, the drive does NOT spin, and its activity light
- stays on constantly. This appears to be independent of the position of the
- OP jumper.
-
- Can anyone help me with this (seemingly trival) problem? Or have a tech-
- support number for TEAC?
-
- As I do not read this list, I would greatly appreciate direct EMAIL replies.
- I'll forward any solutions I get to anyone who asks.
-
- Thanks,
