- And to extend it a bit further .. while it may not be necessary to
- reformat, it's probably desireable if you want the best performance from
- the drive. Chances are the interleave will be too high if you move to
- a 16-bit controller. And it will surely be too low if you move the
- 8-bit controller as well. Of the two, an interleave that's too low
- creates the biggest performance penalty...
