- I recently purchased a Gateway 2000 486 DX2 50 MHz machine.
-
- Now I'd like to install my old 'IBM Token-Ring Network PC Adapter II'
- card in it, but I can't seem to find any settings that work.
-
- The card has the following adjustable settings:
-
- set by default
- Location of card's ROM in memory DIP CC000
- Interrupt Level DIP 2
- Size of Shared RAM DIP 16 K
- Shared RAM location soft D8000 (I think)
-
- So I believe that IRQ 7 is OK (it's LPT1, and I've disconnected my
- printer from it). But everything else is a mystery. I just can't get
- the card to initialize.
-
- Gateway provides no memory maps for finding unused RAM (if that's the
- problem) so I'm in the dark.
-
- Any and all help would be appreciated.

- P.S. does Gateway have an internet address for this kind of stuff?
