  11. I recently purchased a Gateway 2000 486 DX2 50 MHz machine.

  13. Now I'd like to install my old 'IBM Token-Ring Network PC Adapter II'
  14. card in it, but I can't seem to find any settings that work.

  16. The card has the following adjustable settings:

  18.                         set by        default
  19. Location of card's ROM in memory        DIP        CC000
  20. Interrupt Level                DIP        2
  21. Size of Shared RAM                DIP        16 K
  22. Shared RAM location            soft        D8000 (I think)

  24. So I believe that IRQ 7 is OK (it's LPT1, and I've disconnected my
  25. printer from it).  But everything else is a mystery.  I just can't get
  26. the card to initialize.

  28. Gateway provides no memory maps for finding unused RAM (if that's the
  29. problem) so I'm in the dark.
