- I am looking for information about the Wangtek 5525ES tape drive.
- I have the following questions:
- 1) Is the 525MB only valid if data can be compressed (such as text files) or
- is it a "real" 525MB capacity?
- 2) What lower density formats can the 5525ES read and/or write? (For example
- 60MB, 120MB, 80MB, 150MB, 250MB etc)
- 3) What drivers are available (ISC 2.2, ESIX 3.2D, Dell, Destiny, etc)?
- What features have these drivers? Do they support all the modes the
- hardware is able to do (see question 2)?
- 4) Does it work reliably with the Adaptec 1542B?
- 5) What does it cost at the moment in the US? You know we have a quite
- low dollar exchange rate at the moment :) I found only one offer
- in Computer Shopper ($899 for the bare drive).
-
- Thank you in advance.
- Robert
