  10. Hi all.  A few weeks ago I made a few posts speaking in favor of
  11. PC/USA as a PC mail order company.  I promised to keep posting
  12. as to my dealings with them, in case any persons thinking about
  13. mail-ordering a clone would be interested.  Well, my 486/33 came
  14. with a bad Diamond Stealth video card.  When I called up tech
  15. support, which I had *no* trouble getting connected to, and
  16. talked with Ricky for < 5 minutes, I had a new Diamond Stealth
  17. on the way.  It arrived in 3 days, and works flawlessly.  They
  18. did want me to pay to ship the old card back, which I strongly
  19. objected to.  We ended up compromising on this issue.  Now I've
  20. found that the Stealth works with very few OS's besides Windows.
  21. Well, I mean you can only use the Stealth's S3 chip in Windows,
  22. not OS/2 or linux X.  Being the impatient person that I am, I'm
  23. not willing to wait until drivers for these other OS's come out,
  24. so I decided to "downgrade" to the SpeedStar 24X.  Not to mention
  25. the thought of 16 million colors really interests me.  :-)
  26. Anyways, I call up Ricky again, and after 2, count them TWO
  27. minutes, I have a SpeedStar 24X coming my way, AND he's gonna
  28. refund the difference in price to my credit card.  I think this
  29. time I won't complain about paying for shipping the old card
  30. back.  :)  Needless to say, I am *extremely* impressed with
  31. this company and would highly recommend them to anyone wanting
  32. to buy a PC.  Their prices are very competitive, and their
  33. service outstanding.  I believe their number is 800-886-8999.
