  13. I'm planning to buy a 21" monitor for a PC.  I've pretty much narrowed it down
  14. to:
  15.    - Idek MF5421A
  16.    - NEC 6FG
  17.    - Hitachi CM2187
  18.    - Taxan (can't remember model number)

  20. The specs and prices are pretty similar, now that the NEC's street prices 
  21. have taken a bit of a dive.  On paper the Idek looks best; it has a .26mm
  22. dot pitch, and goes all the way up to 1600x1280 (although at only 60Hz, so
  23. I don't know how usable this feature would actually be).  Overkill for now,
  24. but I expect an investment like this to last for several years, and who
  25. knows what ATI or S3 will be selling next year.....

  27. Anyway, I don't have the opportunity to see any of these except the NEC.
  28. If anyone out there has opinions on these monitors (and especially if 
  29. you've been able to make a comparison of two or more) I would be grateful
  30. to hear from you.  I suggest e-mail to me, and I'll post a summary of any
  31. information that I receive.
