- I'm planning to buy a 21" monitor for a PC. I've pretty much narrowed it down
- to:
- - Idek MF5421A
- - NEC 6FG
- - Hitachi CM2187
- - Taxan (can't remember model number)
-
- The specs and prices are pretty similar, now that the NEC's street prices
- have taken a bit of a dive. On paper the Idek looks best; it has a .26mm
- dot pitch, and goes all the way up to 1600x1280 (although at only 60Hz, so
- I don't know how usable this feature would actually be). Overkill for now,
- but I expect an investment like this to last for several years, and who
- knows what ATI or S3 will be selling next year.....
-
- Anyway, I don't have the opportunity to see any of these except the NEC.
- If anyone out there has opinions on these monitors (and especially if
- you've been able to make a comparison of two or more) I would be grateful
- to hear from you. I suggest e-mail to me, and I'll post a summary of any
- information that I receive.
-
- Thanks in advance....
