  25. NO!  An ISA card on the EISA bus does NOT slow down the system.  EISA bus
  26. contains many extra pins that EISA boards will come in contact with,
  27. amongst which are the connections that makes EISA true 32-bit, as well as
  28. higher speed clock signals.  ISA cards, when inserted in an EISA slot,
  29. will come in contact only with the "compatibility pins" and will be clocked
  30. at 8MHz just as it would on an ISA bus.  Just think, what's the point of
  31. an EISA system if the presence of an ISA video card would slow down the
  32. system!  You wouldn't think that the designers were not that naive,
  33. would you?
