- Greetings DOS fans,
-
- I have been a happy user of setdir.com and setglob.com which
- were written by Arny Kreuger. These programs had the
- virtue of being able to change the root environment in
- DOS (thereby allowing one to write programs and batch files
- that would make these changes.) However, it does not
- work properly with DOS 5.0. (Well, if I boot from a floppy
- then it works, but otherwise not, and I cannot figure
- out what is happening there.) Also, if DOS is loaded high
- then these programs cannot even find the DOS Shell.
-
- I am hoping that some one has already hacked set_env.asm
- so that it will work properly under DOS 5.0. If not, then
- I would appreciate any advice for a semi-literate who wants
- to muck around with set_env.asm to get it working again.
-
- Thanks for your attention.
-
- Cheers,
- Seth
