  13. Greetings DOS fans,
  14.  
  15. I have been a happy user of setdir.com and setglob.com which
  16. were written by Arny Kreuger.  These programs had the
  17. virtue of being able to change the root environment in
  18. DOS (thereby allowing one to write programs and batch files
  19. that would make these changes.)  However, it does not
  20. work properly with DOS 5.0.  (Well, if I boot from a floppy
  21. then it works, but otherwise not, and I cannot figure
  22. out what is happening there.)  Also, if DOS is loaded high
  23. then these programs cannot even find the DOS Shell.

  25. I am hoping that some one has already hacked set_env.asm
  26. so that it will work properly under DOS 5.0.  If not, then
  27. I would appreciate any advice for a semi-literate who wants
  28. to muck around with set_env.asm to get it working again.
