- Yes to both. I assume you have the HIL module that is supposed to sit
- in the keyboard cable. The trick is to shut down the system where the
- software is to be installed (NOT where the CD-ROM drive is attached),
- insert the HIL, reboot and mount the CD-ROM drive by NFS. When you are
- done, shut down and remove the HIL module, so it is available for what
- ever system needs it next.
- This information was provided by HP at the InterWorks meeting, after
- calls to the Response Center said it couldn't be done (and assurances
- from our sales rep when we bought the systems that this worked, but no
- one locally knew how to do it when we got our systems).

- You can use LaserROM on a NFS-mounted CD-ROM just fine. You need to add
- a "/etc/mount -a -t cdfs -v" in '/etc/rc' to force the CD-ROM to be
- mounted on the system where it is attached.
