- No, you don't have to do this. The solution is fairly simple: Use the 'dump'
- program. I know this is not the solution that HP recommends, but we use it
- here to backup a heterogeneous HP/Sun environment, and it works just great.
- The "standard" version of dump that HP gave you in 7.0 was rather slow (I
- haven't checked whether this is still the case in 8.0) - however, you can
- get the *sources* to a faster version of dump, as modified by the good folks
- at HP labs (but not supported by HP), from hpserv1.uit.no. Recommended.
