  19. No, you don't have to do this. The solution is fairly simple: Use the 'dump'
  20. program. I know this is not the solution that HP recommends, but we use it
  21. here to backup a heterogeneous HP/Sun environment, and it works just great.
  22. The "standard" version of dump that HP gave you in 7.0 was rather slow (I
  23. haven't checked whether this is still the case in 8.0) - however, you can
  24. get the *sources* to a faster version of dump, as modified by the good folks
  25. at HP labs (but not supported by HP), from hpserv1.uit.no. Recommended.
