  13. i configured the SGI (the host w/ the printer) using hosts.lpd, lpd -l
  14. printcap and lprtolp and all that and set up the printer using the menu tools
  15. on the HP and
  16.  
  17. what happens is the jobs gets spooled to the SGI but never enters the queue
  18. if i use the lpr facility on the SGI locally the only difference i see are
  19. that the control file (c*) have some different entries in them; remote
  20. printing from the HP to a VAX works fine (i didn't expect that!)
  21.  
  22. its sooooooo close - because the files are being spooled over they just
  23. won't go into the queue!
