- I'm amazed you managed to get it to work this much. The s800 disc driver does
- a device ident on the disc on the first-access-after-powerup. It then uses
- this to learn the section size table from a "precanned" data table hard-coded in
- the disc driver.
- No entry == no disc functionality.
- Naturally HP only insert entries for HP disc drives. Your out-of-luck with
- your WREN drive on the s800 series.

- You should be able to attach the drive to an s700, then NFS mount it to
- the s800. (Ignoring the NFS irks and quirks of operation, as compared to
- direct connect disc).
