- Well, first off, the drive isn't supported under 8.0. That may or may not
- have any relevance here. Was it purchased from HP, or somewhere else?

- From the output, it looks like a straightforward read error from the drive.
- Dmesg output would likely show something about "medium error/read error"
- due to the I/O error. About the only thing to try at this point is to clean
- the drive and try again. If you're not using approved media and following
- the recommended cleaning procedures, you really should be.
