- I have not configured a system with less swap than real yet. But I expect
- the results depend on how the VM system is written. On systems that
- don't fall over if swap is less than real, you just end up not using
- all of your real memory thats available.

- If the kernel and buffer pool are not in Virtual memory, then swap could
- be smaller than real and you could still use all of real memory.

- The ratio of swap(VM space) to real is mostly a performance tradeoff only.
