I am trying to retrieve some data off of a bunch of old RK05 disk packs.
Unfortunately, I am having to rebuild a machine from scratch to accomplish
this feat. I have all of the hardware required, but no documentation on how
to hook the RK05 disk drives to the machine (which happens to be a
PDP8/A500). The entire system had been disassembled and placed in a corner
of a basement for several years. A lot of the cables have been removed from
the RK05s, and I don't know how to hook them up. Of course, all of the
documentation for this system has long since disappeared into the trash.

So, does anyone out there have the users manual or maintenance manual for
the RK05 drives? Or, for that matter, does anyone have a users or
maintenace manual for the PDP8/A500, or for any of the boards? If you want,
I can supply you with all of the numbers and nomenclatures for the boards.

I would appreciate any help you could give me. If I can't find out how to
connect the drives, I may have to resort to randomly plugging the cables in
(and risk the fire hazard).
