- We have two MicroVAX systems running VMS 5.5 that we would like to
- connect so that mail can be exchanged easily between users of each
- system, despite the fact that the actual computers are several miles
- apart. We would like the system to be as transparent as possible, so
- that for the average user it would seem like the same machine, but
- failing that, something like sending mail to "THERE::JOE" wouldn't
- be too bad (and a vast improvement over no connection at all). Both
- machines are running DECnet, which is being used only for PATHWORKS
- for Macintosh at this time. Each machine has exactly one modem, and
- it would be nice if that modem wasn't tied up all the time.
-
- RSVP via mail. Thanks.
