-
- Yes; not as much as in the heyday, and frequently from smaller software
- publishers. I think there are still a lot of games for the 64 being released
- in Europe, although I don't know how many of them will ever make it to this
- side of the pond. One major US release recently was CMD's release of
- geoCanvas, an alternate painting program for GEOS. There is a demo of
- geoCanvas in /pub/rknop/INCOMING on the ftp site ccosun.caltech.edu. (It will
- shortly be move to /pub/rknop/geos.)
-
- And, of course, the freeware and shareware software market continues to thrive.

- >2. Are they still making 64 hardware
-
- Whom do you mean by "they"? I've lost track of whether or not C= still
- manufactures 64C's and 1541 II's. I know they bagged on the 128 a long time
- ago, and I _think_ that they've finally bagged on the 64.
-
- However, other companies are still putting out hardware for the 64. One
- company that has been exciting recently is the aforementioned CMD, who have
- put out battery backed RAM devices (that you can expand as large as 16 Meg),
- as well as hard drives. The "stories" :) are also that they will shortly be
- releasing a line of high-density 3.5" disk drives for the C64 and C128.
