- When using an Amiga there is several ways to read the old 2040/4040 disks.
-
- 1) a comercial program called Disk-2-Disk and an Amiga 1020 5.25 drive.
- 2) a comercial program called Go64 with hardware and a 1541 C-64 drive.
- 3) a PD program (registered) with hardware and a 1541 C-64 drive.

- With option 1 above you can convert PET ASCII to true ASCII while copying
- the file over. If the data is not on a 2040/4040/1541/1571 format disk,
- there is NO WAY to read it with an Amiga.
