- Hello,
- I have a 3B2/600 that is being contrary when it boots. The system has
- had a Network Interface board in it for a good while. When it currently
- boots it gives the messages "Open /dev/ni (ip): (ni error) network not
- available" followed by "Bind:address already in use" multiple times and
- never makes it to the Console Login: prompt. My question is how can I boot
- from power on and stop in single user mode? I know how to boot the tape
- and go through the partial restore headache but I would rather avoid that
- if possible. I tried removing the NI card and rebooting the machine, but
- it comes up with an "external linktable undefined" and quits. Booting
- /etc/system from the firmware produces a similar error message.
-
- Thanks for your help.
