- Dear 3b2'ers,
-
- Maybe someone can offer help with the following problem.
-
- Every couple of weeks my 3b2/310 Wollongong tcp/ip (version 3.2)
- gets into a state where the net is entirely unreachable (except "telnet me").
-
- After shutting down the net, restarting it fails, giving the message:
-
- IPIOC_SETNAME failed: Invalid argument
- /usr/etc/inetinit: config line #14: Failed to link
-
- BTW, line 14 in inetinit.cf is:
-
- en0 /dev/arp /dev/ip0 0
-
- Complete system shutdown includes this message (which I normally don't see):
-
- KERNEL: munlink: could not perform unlink ioctl, closing anyway
-
- And upon reboot things work properly again.
- Any idea what may be causing the problem?
-
- Thanks in advance!
-
- Ami
