  13. Maybe someone can offer help with the following problem.

  15. Every couple of weeks my 3b2/310 Wollongong tcp/ip (version 3.2)
  16. gets into a state where the net is entirely unreachable (except "telnet me").
  17.  
  18. After shutting down the net, restarting it fails, giving the message:
  19.  
  20.   IPIOC_SETNAME failed: Invalid argument
  21.   /usr/etc/inetinit: config line #14: Failed to link
  22.  
  23. BTW, line 14 in inetinit.cf is:

  25.   en0     /dev/arp        /dev/ip0        0
  26.  
  27. Complete system shutdown includes this message (which I normally don't see):

  29.  KERNEL: munlink: could not perform unlink ioctl, closing anyway
  30.  
  31. And upon reboot things work properly again.
  32. Any idea what may be causing the problem?
