  26. There is also a U.S. product (well at least I think it's from the U.S. :)
  27. called DVT VCR which has been out for a _long_ time which allows hard
  28. drive backup to VHS videocassette.  I think it gives something like 20 megs
  29. per hour or so.  Perhaps videocassette recorders are less common in Europe
  30. and so such a device is a new item there -- I know that DVT VCR has been 
  31. sold in the U.S. probably since hard drives really became a big item for
  32. STs.

  34. Oh, you mentioned a SCART connector, that is what most European video
  35. equipment is capable of using, right?  The DVT VCR is for U.S. video stuff
  36. and so has two RCA-type jacks, one to plug into the VCR's video input, one
  37. to the audio input.
