- I have noticed a similar phenomenon - but, in my case, it usually
- arises after I've packed some executable with the ICE-Packer. The packed
- files occasionally (not always!) become undeleteable and if you do an "ls"
- command in Gulam you see more than one identically named file. I have often
- had to resort to the use of DLII to delete these files!! I'm not
- convinced that this is a GULAM problem - it could be a TOS problem or
- indeed something peculiar about the way the ICE Packer writes out its
- packed executables. I have noticed this duplication often on RDY ramdisks
- but it does happen on normal floppies also.
-
- When there is duplicity of files, GULAM usually finds the earliest
- in the directory listing. This is usually not the most recent. If you can
- delete this then, next time, GULAM will find the correct file.
-
- Explanations gratefully solicited. Cheers, W. Alan B. Evans
