  12.   I remember long ago hearing about the Phantom Typist.  At the time I had
  13. never experienced any such thing, so foolhardy soul that I am, I ignored
  14. all the information about it.  However, since I upgraded to Tos 1.4 (and at the
  15. same time I installed a D.E.K.A. and IBM keyboard) I have been having problems 
  16. with the computer thinking that keys are being held down.
  17. Sometimes it doesn't happen at all, sometimes it happens quite frequently.
  18. It also does not seem to matter if I have used the keyboard at all.  The 
  19. favorite keys for this seem to be ALT and ESC.  The latter is particularly
  20. annoying on the desktop, as it updates the windows many, many times before the
  21. buffer clears.  As soon as I hit the repeating key for real, it stops.  By the
  22. time I realize what is going on, however, there's usually quite a number of
  23. the character in the buffer.  Anyways, does this sound like the Phantom
  24. Typist?  If so, was there ever any solution discovered?  Any help would be  
  25. appreciated.

  27. Also, I was wondering if anyone has information on PowerDOS yet, like where it
  28. is available?  I know that DragonWare is realising it as freeware, but do you
  29. have to get it from them?  Or will it be available at anonymous sites?  Or has
  30. there been no word yet?  Am I simply rambling?
