  11. Just tell your modem "S0=1" such as
  12. ats0=1dt555-1212
  13. to dial the BBS....  then when you get disconnected the modem will pick up on
  14. the 1st ring.

  16. Or... just type ATA at the modem when the phone rings...
  17. (or type it after you see "NO CARRIER" and hit return after the phone rings)
