  22.      You've got to be kidding, right? Of course OS/2 is going to fly on
  23. that system! I bet Windows would fly to! But with all this high powered
  24. hardware, you still say "It is as fast as a TT with NVDI loaded in." You
  25. didn't say how much you paid for your system either. Atari has always
  26. tried to shoot for the low-end, and for the vast majority of computer
  27. users, this is what they need.

  29.      You have 16MB of ram, but you still need a swap file, and even
  30. then, a 2 meg swap file. What do you use the machine for anyway?

  32.      The interesting thing is that Atari still ships very usable one meg
  33. machines with only a floppy drive. I use my ST for everything from DTP,
  34. to word-processing, to programming, to telecommunicating, and still have
  35. only 1 meg of ram and two floppies.

  37.      The Falcon, when released, will be the best computing value for the
  38. dollar, nothing else can even come close to its abilities for the
  39. price.

  47.      Again, this was brought up before, about comparing beta software to
  48. finished products. I think it would be safer to compare Multitos with
  49. OS/2 1.3.

  51.      Anyway, the success of the falcon and Atari is going to rely on
  52. their ability to market it correctly. (And we all know how well they can
  53. do that. :-( )

  55.      Will I buy one? I will wait and see. The vastly superior sound
  56. systems is what will change my mind, but only if there will be software
  57. that takes advantage of it.
