- By and large, all IBM emulators for the Atari run relatively slowly since
- the 680x0 processor must do all the 80x86 translations. That's a lot of
- work, indeed. About the best speed you could hope for is that of an 8MHz
- 80286 AT class machine. Of course, a faster Atari will help but with the
- el cheapo prices of PC clones nowadays, one has to wonder if the cost of
- an IBM emulator is worth it when a complete clone may be even cheaper.
- This is the primary reason you don't see many IBM emulators advertised now.
