- I am planning on buying the 586 as soon it comes out. ;-)
-
- Yes, I could have bought a TT but I couldn't care less about it. What do you
- get for $5300-$5500 Canadian you might ask.
-
- - 17 inch MAG Multisync Monitor (spectacular monitor with LCD display)
- - 16 MB RAM
- - 486/50 MHz DX, 256 KB Cache
- - 250 MB Backup Unit
- - CD-ROM
- - Printer (Star NX-2430)
- - Full-Tower case with dual fans
- - 2 HD drives
- - 130 MB Pro series HD (the fastest available)
- - Special I/O card (buffered, error free downloading in background + contains
- 2 serial ports / game port/ parallel and IDE adaptor)
- - ATI Graphics Ultra (extremely fast)
- - PAS-16 (Digitize/Play at 16-Bit 44 KHz)
- - Key Pro, the best keyboard around. Programmable, anything you want, it has.
- - 3 Button Mouse
- - OS/2 2.0
-
- I don't have to mention software since you know how much there is out there.
- It is constantly updated, so you know it is always improved. Dealers are
- everywhere. How fast is it? Well, the window opening and closing is as fast as
- a TT with NVDI installed (or WARP 9). This is running OS/2 2.0 which is a
- very complex OS (according to IBM, 3 Million lines of code).
