  11. So far as I understand things, there is no reasonable way to "speed up"
  12. your modem beyond 300bps.  I believe different frequencies are used for
  13. 1200bps (and higher).  So you would have to not only transmit faster, but
  14. also change the audio frequencies to be compatible with any other standard
  15. modem.
