- Whoops, Chris, try reading my post again, the answers to your questions are
- all in there. I suggest you D/L & print it out. Looks to me like you probably
- read it on-screen & forgot what was said at the beginning by the time you got
- to the end. Not surprising; it was kinduv a long post.
-
- Anyways, to re-cap: for the Premier Issue only, no paid ads will be accepted
- in the "SWAP 'n' Shop" column of AC. That means you MUST keep your ad to 50
- words or less.
-
- In future issues, longer ads will be accepted, provided that ads longer than
- 50 words are accompanied by payment (check payable to Atari Classics) mailed to
- the address for AC given in The Rules & in the various announcements that have
- been posted.
-
- Hmmm... something I didn't consider... in future issues when we accept longer
- [paid] ads in "SnS", we'll still accept copy be e-mail. But payemt will have
- to be by snail-mail, and WE'l need some indication of what the payment is for,
- ie, a note saying "Enclosed is payment for SnS ad emailed such-&-such a date
- which was 200 characters in excess of the 50-word free limit" or some such.
-
- BUT... FOR THE PREMIER ISSUE ONLY... we will only accept ads 50 words or less
- as defined in The Rules, & any longer ads will be truncated to the 50-word
- limit.
-
- My apologies to those of you who have long lists of items to sell, etc., but
- we are pushing hard to get the Premier Issue ready in time for WAACE & the
- prospect of receiving a whole bunch of checks for small amounts of money will
- gum up the works & slow things down tremendously. In months to come we will
- be better organized, & thus in a position to offer better service.
-
- Actually, considering as how we've only been in business for one month now,
- we're not doing too bad & the magazine is definitely moving forwar
- d.
