  11. Sending mail to AOL doesn't always seem to work.  Sometimes the mail just
  12. vanishes en route.  I keep meaning to complain to AOL's Internet gateway
  13. board, but haven't gotten around to it.

  15. The messages also often take a day or more to make it across the gateway.

  17. I've had messages take up to three days (!) to get to AOL.  Usually, by the
  18. time it gets there, I've already been up on AOL and have sent the message
  19. again from there.
