  15. My imagewriter II just died (logic board - or so the tech tells me) and I think
  16. I would rather put the $175 to fix it into a new printer.  Does anyone have any
  17. experience using the stylewriter, DeskJet/Writer, or a non-Apple 24-pin printer?

  19. I'm most interested in switching between fast draft text printing (speed at least
  20. as good as IW II) and reasonably-fast extremely good quality text printing for 
  21. final documents.

  23. I would like as transparent an interface as possible, i.e., I don't want to write
  24. a driver or spend much time tracking down compatibility problems.  IW II emulation
  25. would obviously be nice, but I don't expect it.

  27. I do most of my work either through GNO/ME or AppleWorks 3.0 w/Ultra4.0, etc.
