- My imagewriter II just died (logic board - or so the tech tells me) and I think
- I would rather put the $175 to fix it into a new printer. Does anyone have any
- experience using the stylewriter, DeskJet/Writer, or a non-Apple 24-pin printer?
-
- I'm most interested in switching between fast draft text printing (speed at least
- as good as IW II) and reasonably-fast extremely good quality text printing for
- final documents.
-
- I would like as transparent an interface as possible, i.e., I don't want to write
- a driver or spend much time tracking down compatibility problems. IW II emulation
- would obviously be nice, but I don't expect it.
-
- I do most of my work either through GNO/ME or AppleWorks 3.0 w/Ultra4.0, etc.
-
- Thanks
