- I've got a serious problem with my hard drive. I have an apple IIgs computer
- with a Syquest 44 MB removable drive. About 3 weeks ago, I recieved an error
- while doing a backup with Archiver. Subsequent verifying (via finder) stated
- that my Shoebox's Desktop file was corruped. I deleted the file, then replaced
- it, verified again (no error), and thought that was the end of it.
-
- Last week, I recieved another error while backing up. I baked everything up I
- could (lost my Shoebox's Desktop file again), did a low-level format and
- repartition (via apple's SCSI utilities disk that came with my High speed SCSI
- card). I replaced everything, and verified. No problem.
-
- Today, I did another verify, and the error re-appered on teh same place on thfe
- partition, but this time it nailed my main Shoebox file. I'm replaced all the
- salvagable data (everything but shoebox) on another cartridge. Now, then, is
- my current cartrage unuable, considering that a low-level format didn't even
- help? Is there anything I can do at this point besides tossing the $70
- cartrige?
