- This may have already been posted a zillion times, but since I don't remember
- it...
-
- I found a very nasty bug in GSHK tonight. I had an archive on a disk (not
- my HD) and GSHK on my HD. I double-clicked to archive to open it, which
- worked fine. Turned out the archive contained a disk, so I took out of
- of my spiffy new blank disks and told it to extract the archive onto
- my 3.5" AppleDisk (what's the device...AppleDisk3.5A or something). Anyway,
- it said, "Format this disk?" (because it was unformatted - a very reasonable
- question, really), and I said, go ahead. A few moments later, it was
- formatted. Now GSHK prompts me to put in the disk with the archive on it,
- assumably so it can read the archive into memory. However, it doesn't
- stop there; with no further prompting, it just starts writing to the
- disk with the archive on it (overwriting the archive in the process)!
-
- How annoying! And it couldn't even finish extracting, since it overwrote
- itself and when it needed to read the next chunk, I didn't have it!
-
- ARGH.
