  11. The following is a problem that a friend of mine is having
  12. on his Apple IIGS.  He is getting mixed results on different systems
  13. that have the same configuration.

  15. System:     Apple II GS
  16. Software:     Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego
  17.         (2 3.5" disks for the GS)
  18.  
  19. Same two disks A & B run on one computer but freeze up on another. 
  20. Control panels are all configured exactly the same, including RAMDISK = 0K.
  21.  
  22. Boot system with program disks, switching and exchanging disks when 
  23. prompted. Program goes through initial welcome, sign-in, etc., checks 
  24. into previous "case" file, retrieves previous case file to start work 
  25. where left off. Select one option to show 3/4 destinations in a box; 
  26. then sleect option to show clues. Then click on one of the clue locations 
  27. (museums, airport, etc.), and it blows up. Cannot imput; the only thing 
  28. you get is mouse trail of squares.  Have checked memory available and 
  29. memory in use in the control panel at multiple points on a machine that 
  30. fails and one that runs and for all intents and purposes, they are the 
  31. same. They run about +/- 525K and +/- 650K -- don't remember which was 
  32. which ( in use vs available).

  34. System checks Good on a self-check.

  36. Software company says program needs 1 meg memory to run.
