- This problem was recently brought up in the "Apple Clinic" section of the
- August 1992 Incider/A+. (page 17) I quote the response:
-
- "According to the tech-support folks at Zip Technologies, the error message
- is normal. It seems that when the engineers at Apple Computer wrote the
- GS' internal-diagnostics code, they didn't predict the use of an accelerator
- system such as the Zip Chip or AE's TransWarp board....."
-
- So, check and see if this computer has an accelerator card. If so, remove
- the card and replace the original CPU chip and re-run the diagnostic.
- According to Incider, this should solve the problem. If you don't have an
- accelerator, well ..... then in this case the error code is probably legit.
-
- Good Luck,
