- A small communication program I wrote does exactly this. The option key
- sets the high bit of the character being typed (or reverses the parity if
- using 7 bit and parity). I need to clean the code up a little bit before
- releasing it; currently it only works in P8 on a rom 1 GS using the modem
- port. My program does a few little things that I haven't seen in others
- yet (I don't want to sound like bragging, but I can get lazy so I made my
- program to help me stay that way). It auto adjusts: bps, parity, emulation
- (screen and keyboard); it'll reset the emulation after a call is finished,
- it'll auto redial if a number is busy and you doing nothing after the busy
- message. Best of all, these features can be overridden or disabled during
- unusual enviroments. I have been thinking of converting it to a 5K CDA if
- there is any interest for such a program.
