-
- I have been selling a shareware GS specific VT100 terminal emulator
- called SnowTerm for over 4 years now. Its definitely not ProTerm, but
- it doesn't pretend to be a full blown telecom program - just a very
- good VT100 emulation.
-
- It supports all VT100 character attributes like bold, blink, reverse,
- underline, double wide, and double high. It also fully supports the
- VT100 line drawing character set. It fully maps the GS arrow keys and
- keypad to match a VT100.
-
- It supports both internal and external modems.
-
- Special graphics routines were used to speed up the screen update. I
- regularly use SnowTerm with my 38.4K baud modem. While SnowTerm can't
- keep up with lots of text being dumped to the screen at those kinds of
- speeds, it does a reasonable job and doesn't lose any text due to
- large buffers and XON/XOFF protocol.
-
- Like I said, SnowTerm doesn't claim to be a full blown telecom
- program. It doesn't support any file transfer protocols. It does do
- text capture and text file send. It doesn't support any kind of macros
- or scripting. It does do an excellent job of VT100 emulation.
-
- SnowTerm is sold as shareware for $20. It should be available on the
- major computer services and in most archives or directly from me:
