- It's a CP/M card. I forget the exact specs, but the Appli-Card was one of the
- better ones (i think). Not that it's much use now.

- Worse, most of the stuff that used to be sold is tied up in copyrights that
- haven't died yet, but the companies are out of business or have moved on, so
- it CAN'T be PD even though it really should be.

- (Bzzt) DOS 3.3 and Prodos both need the 16 sector controller ROM. You _do_ need
- the 16k language card in slot 0 and AppleSoft roms to run Prodos, though. Any
- 1.x version of prodos (except one which is old and got recalled quickly) will
- run on the ][+. When you get that running and get sick of the ENTER PREFIX OR
- RETURN TO ACCEPT let me know and I will send you a replacement for it that is
- much easier to use (it will be the one I wrote; there are others).

-
- Jameco sells a nice one for about $50-$60, I forget. There ain't enough hard
- competition in the Apple market to make serial cards that cheap. Actually if
- you still can, I would recommend getting a parallel interface printer and a
- parallel card ($30 at JameCo, I have one in my IIgs and use it with a Panasonic
- 1124i Epson LQ850 compatible) because the parallel card is cheaper and it is
- also faster than serial.
