- The DOS 3.3 Launcher v1.1 is now being distributed - so keep your eyes
- out. [Don't ask me to post it to comp.binaries.apple2 - it's shareware].
- In case you missed the previous description it lets you store old DOS
- 3.3 programs and games that use RWTS routines (but not DOS) on your hard
- disk, and launch them from the GS finder (returning when you're finished
- via a CDA).
-
- A problem with this version is:
- When using the control panel from a DOS program that uses the text screen
- to store code or data, some parts of bank zero are not restored properly.
- I suspect this is the screen holes, but haven't checked yet.
-
- Questions:
- Is it safe to patch the control panel vector to save and restore screen
- holes?
- If so should this be done as a PIF, or just while the DOS program is
- active (and why)?
-
- John MacLean.
