  29. Also, there are two other options that work with the DeskJet:

  31. 1. Independence drives the DeskJet for  16 bit programs
  32.  
  33. 2. SuperPatch 8.0 has a driver for AppleWorks 3.0 that results in
  34.    STUNNING text if the P1 option is chosen in your WP file.
  35.  
  36. One caveat about SuperPatch, it sends the wrong ESC codes in one
  37. case for some versions of SuperPatch. It sends a 1 rather than a l (one
  38. rather than a L). This has been reported to Quality Computers. As far
  39. as I know, they WILL release and updated version. The further good news
  40. is, you can correct it from the Appleworks printer menus AFTER you
  41. install the drivers if you have an older version.

  43. The "more better news is," the printer works with ProTerm, etc., dumps
  44. to PR#1. Buy it, it is GREAT!
