  12. I've got one for you sendmail gurus:

  14. Yesterday at noon sendmail started (intermittantly!) creating
  15. /usr/spool/mail entries owned by "daemon.daemon.none" instead
  16. if the usual "$USER.mail.none", thus $USER does not have 
  17. rights to read his/her mail. Our administrator is stumped.
  18.  
  19. Acl on /usr/spool/mail has UP for initial files, owner and group.
  20. Sendmail on gateway is running as root.wheel.none .
  21. Admin says that nothing in the registry has changed. /etc/passwd
  22. files are all 0 length of type "passwd"
