- Strange. I've had the same problem with my brand new Maxtor LXT340 drive.
- It has done exactly that a few times for the past days. I've been low level
- formatting it, checking for bad blocks high and low, and I've used
- Quarterback Tools for checking for checking files (and bad blocks again, in
- case my formatter was wrong). And I've come up with *nothing*. QBT fixed
- the problem but said my root block had a bad checksum and that it was a "very
- bad problem". Sure sounds so.
-
- Ten minutes ago, I read about somebody with an A1000 and a Quantum drive (?),
- having a problem very similar to ours. I don't want to be paranoid and say
- "virus", but isn't it very strange indeed?

- I'm using an A2000, 2.04 with ZKick, and a Cltd. controller.
